The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) distributed sanitisation packages – obtained through FIFA Covid-19 Solidarity Relief Fund – to football clubs, academies, district associations and other stakeholders.

The packages were given to allow the stakeholders make necessary preparations for any upcoming tournaments as Bruneians are now allowed to host competitive events, including the Brunei Super League scheduled to start on June 20 this year.

The contents of each package include a set of hand sanitisers, a set of isopropyl alcohol disinfectants and a few sets of thermometer guns.

NFABD President Pengiran Haji Matusin Bin Pengiran Haji Matasan said: ““Alhamdulillah, NFABD is grateful to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Government for the great efforts in containing the COVID-19 situation to the extent that we are now able to play competitive football.”

“As earlier announced, The Brunei Super League will kick off on 20th June 2021. This will give ample time for Teams and Organisers to prepare.

“Further, all involved are strongly advised and urged to observed The Covid Protocol and Guidelines which had been prepared as early as June 2020 in order that all Standard Operating Procedures are fully observed.”

“NFABD is grateful to FIFA for assisting all Member Associations with The COVID Solidarity Fund. In this matter, NFABD is giving away Sanitization Package that consists of hand sanitizers, sanitizations for equipments, facemasks and thermometers to Teams and Academies in order that standard procedures are strictly observed for their benefits and safety.”
